The town of Guardamar del Segura

Ideally located for discovering the south of the Costa Blanca. The town is large enough to have all the amenities and facilities one needs for every day living. The town is typically Spanish with an array of shops and restaurants, a large Wednesday morning market selling everything from fresh produce to beachwear. The 11 kms of long sandy beach itself is one of the best on the Costas, with a brand new stylish car free promenade, exceptionally wide (European blue flag 2002) beach, water sports and beach side cafes. On top of all this Guardamar has a thriving marina, and the forest parklands of the Dunas de Guardamar with over 800 hectares of eucalyptus and pine trees running parallel to the coast is in a class of its own. A visit through Sofia Park is well worth to see the wildlife and the man made water feature.

Torrevieja (10 minutes by car), is an all year bustling cosmopolitan harbour town, with many bars, restaurants, shops, nightclubs and beaches. It also has a large summer Aqua Park, a bowling/cinema complex, the salt lake nature park (with over 250 bird species), museums, theatre and large weekly market.

A short drive from home you’ll find beautiful Blue Flag beaches such as Playa Flamenca, La Zenia and Cabo Roig with its beautiful marina. A coastline path along the crystal clear Mediterranean links these three.

The area has a wide choice of supermarkets, shops, bars, bistros, restaurants and sporting activities (tennis, cycling, wind surfing, jet skiing, go-karting, horse riding, bowling, bird watching, fishing, boat trips, etc).

The World Famous Championship Golf Course of VillaMartin provides 18 holes of Golfer's Paradise. The atmospheric Villamartin Plaza provides a wide range of restaurants and bars.
